About Emily

Emily has been a rider since the age of 7, starting on the very challenging pony “Pippin”. From there she progressed through pony club with “Frilly”, a beautiful grey 14.2 mare, with whom she made her team debut for the Soham and District Pony Club.

Emily discovered eventing at the age of 15 when she purchased Amo from Mark and Tanya Kyle. Together they worked up to Novice and were regular team members in all pony club disciplines.

Defering her university application to study law by a year, Emily purchased Spirit of Flanders, and left Cambridgeshire to train with Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks. At the end of the year, she felt that she had not got the best out of Molly and so lengthened her stay by another year. During this time, Emily competed all over England with Lucinda and Clayton, and travelled to France and Holland working through the grades to two star level. As a groom, Emily travelled all over Europe to help both Lucinda and Clayton and even flew to America with Ben Along Time, where he won Lexingon CCI ****.

At the end of her two years at Team Fredericks, Emily decided that university was not the right option for her and so started Emily Leslie Eventing.
